Blue Barn Designs - Made to Order Home Furnishings

Twenty four years ago, Faye and Peter Hurd were taking a ride in the Scenic Catskills and discovered a small building for sale on the side of a quiet road.

Since they had already owned a retreat on a nearby mountain, they decided to buy the building and use it for Peter's hobby of making pine furniture.

It was a welcome relief from their busy schedule of commuting between their studio in New York City, Los Angeles and the country. Ten years ago, Faye and Peter divorced, and Faye starting shaping the Blue Barn into what it is today.

Faye is a graduate of The Fashion Institute of Technology, with degrees in Fashion Design, Fashion Illustration and Interior Design. She has gained a tremendous knowledge in design with working with her husband around the country and in designing sets for all venues of photography. The Blue Barn has evolved and changed over the years due to Faye's personal mission to service the community with the best full-service design center available. Faye has conscientiously worked with each client on a highly professional yet personalized basis.
